When talking about the beam and brightness, it is important to distinguish two types of wall lamps for outdoor use:

a) Ascending/descending beam

The beam of an outdoor wall light is all about creating the right atmosphere. Usually, the light intensity is less important because the effect of the light you create is often paramount. Generally, the power of an ascending and descending beam will vary between 1 to 6 W LEDs (in one direction).

The beam allows you to determine the effect of light reflection. This mainly plays a role in ascending and descending outdoor wall lamps. Choosing a wide beam will have a brighter effect on your home, where a small beam will accentuate more details. A light beam can also create shapes, for example creating lines or triangles. For example, you can choose to have only one ascending or descending beam or both. Today, there are already external wall lights where you can even adjust the angle of light.

b) Exterior wall sconces

A front outer wall lamp will be more effective in creating a lot of light. It can be convenient in places that are not covered and where you cannot install ceiling lights. Front lighting can be purchased in all shapes and with all kinds of effects. The most effective is a frontal light with a shade that is not covered for several reasons. After all, when the light shines without any obstacle, it will have the best light intensity. However, sometimes a pattern can also decorate the outdoor wall lamp.

When choosing a front exterior wall light, you can opt for a concealed or exposed solution. The recessed wall light is the most aesthetic solution, but requires a lot of preparation: you must prepare the installation of the wall lamp in the wall and therefore, you must first grind into the existing wall. In addition, you must make sure that the power cables are where they need to be connected to the outdoor wall light.

Another type of exterior wall light is the apparent lantern. This is the type of outdoor wall that can be equipped with a single pole or lantern. Thanks to the flexible glass or glass lid around the lamp, the light is well distributed. She may also have shade in the shape of a hat. The material can be wood, plastic or metal.
